Al-Othman Mosque was established in Hawally in 1958 by the late Abdullah AbdulLatif Al-Othman. It is considered one of the first mosques in Kuwait to be built with a dome and is decorated with Islamic elements and inscriptions. Currently, the mosque is being rehabilitated under the patronage of the late Abdullah Abdul Latif Al-Othman’s estate, under the supervision of Engineer Adnan Al-Othman. The Promenade Cultural Center is documenting the rehabilitation and restoration process.
